Our History

Steve Fowler and Alan Green began Excel Electrical Technologies, Inc. in October of 2002. In March of the following year, Excel purchased certain assets including all open contracts of Encompass Electrical Technologies of Georgia, Inc. (EET–f.k.a. Regency Electric Company Atlanta Office, Inc.) from Encompass Services Corporation and the management team, support staff, and field employees immediately transferred over to Excel. Steve Fowler had previously served as President of EET. Also joining Excel as shareholders were Rick Wells and Randy Sossamon who had previously led business units for Encompass/Regency in Orlando and Charlotte respectively.

Since its inception Excel has experienced tremendous growth and financial success. With a very talented team of professionals and vast experience in many market segments, Excel continues to be clearly recognized as a preferred provider of electrical pre-construction and construction services in its diverse geographic and service markets.
